Social Security fraud is a serious crime that could range from using someone else's card to gain employment to applying for benefits that you don't deserve. There are also fraud cases pertaining to medical insurance and filings by doctors. If you are in Indiana, and have come across a case of Social Security fraud, you can report it to the proper authorities. Reporting fraud keeps the system running smoothly and keeps it financially sound so that it can help for years to come.

Contact the Social Security Administration fraud hotline at 800-269-0271 with any information pertaining to a fraud case. Have documentation prepared to back up your claim if possible.

Feel out the online fraud reporting form. Answer all questions or inquiries to the best of your knowledge and enter all personal information required. Submit the form.

Print the form out and mail it to Social Security Fraud Hotline, P.O. Box 17768, Baltimore, Maryland 21235.

Fax the form to 410-597-0118.

Go to one of the local Social Security offices in Indiana to turn in the form (See Resources).
