Voice Case Information System
Gather up as much information relating to the filing as possible. In order to use the Voice Case Information System (VCIS), you need the filer’s full name, social security number or court case number.
Look up the VCIS phone number of the court where the bankruptcy was filed on the PACER website.
Call the number and enter your information. The automated system will tell you the status of the filing as well as any additional information present in its system. This service is free.

Register an account using the link "Register for a PACER Account" in the left-hand column.
Enter your information; you will need a valid credit card to register. PACER charges 8 cents per page of retrieved documents, but will waive any amount under $10 per quarter. If you are just looking up a single case, you will probably not be charged.
Look up the court where the bankruptcy was filed.
Click the link for the court where the bankruptcy was filed and you will go to that court's Electronic Case Files (ECF) system. Each system is different, but you can use your PACER login to access any of them.
Enter whatever information you have relating to the case search through the records until you find it.
