How to File an Intent to Sue Letter on Your Own

Step 1

Keep concise records. You want a call log and copies of any documents sent or received. Have all your names and dates organized.

Step 2

Collect the information for your lawsuit. You need a case number and dates of any hearings scheduled.

Step 3

Go to the debtconsolidationcare website and print a copy of the sample letter (see Resources section for link).

Step 4

Open your word processor on the computer. Write your letter using the sample as a guideline.

Step 5

Send the letter out via certified mail. Keep documentation of all responses you receive and take that information with you to court if it comes to that.
