How to Search County Jail Records

Have you ever wanted to do a background check on somebody? If so, you probably wanted to look up county jail records. Doing that manually county by county is a difficult process. However, by using the Internet, you can search county jail records quickly and accurately.

Obtain information needed to look up the county jail records. At the very least, you need to know a first and last name to have any chance of locating the right records. More information such as maiden name, date of birth or social security number makes the search that much easier. That background information includes county jail records. To search those records, click on the "Criminal Search" link in the upper navigational panel. On the next page, enter the information that you have obtained on the person. When you are ready, click the "Search" button in the middle of the page.

Verify that the results you have found are the correct records. Since there are a lot of people with the same name, you need to make sure you've found the records of the right person. The results have addresses and sometimes phone numbers. If you can verify that the corresponding information is correct, you can be confident that you have found the correct records.

Repeat the process if you are looking for county jail records for multiple people. Thoroughly check each one to ensure that you are finding the correct records.
